Putting the Muscle back into Classic Cars

FrankenCharger VH Valiant Charger

December 10, 2025

This Australian VH Valiant Charger was found impersonating a Chicken Coupe.  The Client went to have a look at this Chrysler Muscle Car and as the price was right decided to rescue the Classic with intentions to restore it.

Initially the task was just to mini tub the rear and fit a four link but during the conversion it was decided that the car would undergo a respray and the task of removing the paint was given to us.

It was at this time that this Aussie Classic received her nickname; FrankenCharger, as it was revealed that under the paint and layers of filler was a piece of one Charger badly welded onto pieces of other Chargers.  With all of the various pieces coming from various different cars and the very bad welding resembling metal scarring it was decided that this Charger was more of a Frankenstein.

So plans changed and the simple respray with a big rear end snowballed out and became the cool one of a kind Resto-Mod she is today.  This car has featured multiple times in Australia’s Rides Down Under Workshop Wars as well as a feature in Street Machine Magazine.  Check out the episodes on 7 Plus or tune into some of our clips on our Youtube Channel.

Of course as this is one of our highlight builds check out the FrankenCharger gear in our merchandise store.
