Remaking the Boot Floor in the Buick

When the Buick arrived with us it had the Gas Tank in the boot, as we removed the gas tank we realised that the floor under the tank had rusted out.  As 1963 Buick Boot Floor rust repair sections are not readily available in Australia and due to the horrible current exchange rate with the US (not to mention the exorbitant postal charges out of the US) ordering a replacement floor wasn’t financially viable.  

This however did not stop us from repairing the Electra's boot, Shane hand rolled the boot floor out of Galvanised steel.  This was then treated with an antirust solution and sound deadened, guaranteeing that the 1963 Buick will never have a rusty rear end again.
