MSD Power Grid hidden in FrankenCharger

With all of these power upgrades happening to FrankenCharger we needed to ensure that we didn’t just supply the correct amount of fuel but also provided the right amount of fire, i.e. spark.

It was decided that in order to gain the kind of control over the ignition curve and supply the large spark we were after that we would fit and hide and MSD Grid in the glove box of this VH Valiant Charger.

The Grid was coupled with a MSD Distributor and Leads.  We opted for the Black Cap Upgrade so the simple Black and Orange theme can be maintained throughout the engine bay.

The MSD Grid allows us to program in a custom cruising curve, then quickly change that curve on race day.  Another benefit of the Grid is that it can also be wired into his Nitrous system and his timing adjusted so that the 410 stroked Mopar motor in this Aussie Muscle Car is kept safe under boost.
