Putting the Muscle back into Classic Cars

Stroking the motor in the Graveyard Cuda

November 19, 2024

The Graveyard Cuda was always known for going hard and smoking the tyres.  However, years of abuse made the Cuda’s 410 stroker a little tired and it was time for an upgrade.  We started with a 360 Chrysler Small Block and stroked it to 410 Cubic Inches.  This has a full SCAT rotating assembly and Comp Cams Cam and Lifter Package.  The pistons were sent to Race Coatings for teflon coated skirts with Ceramic coated tops to allow for less friction as they are travelling up and down the bores while protecting the tops of the pistons from the Nitrous shot when we are drag racing.  The 410 is topped with Victor Junior Heads and Intake along with TTI headers.

The headers flow into a 3.5 Inch Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel system that has an X pipe and exits at the Differential.  Check out Shane going through the build on Season 3, Episode 9 or Rides Down Under Workshop Wars on 7 Plus. https://7plus.com.au/rides-down-under-workshop-wars?episode-id=RIDU03-00...
