Pontiac 488 Dyno Run

We decided that we wanted to see what the 488 could do.  Keeping in mind we wanted to retain the original look of the Firebird and kept the Cast Iron Heads, Cast Iron Intake Manifold, Carburettor and Exhaust Manifolds the Pontiac made 392 Horse power, 288kW and 1600Nm of torque at the rear wheels at 4100rpm.  At this rpm we ran into issues as the Pontiac started wheel spinning on the dyno and we had problems retaining fuel volume, once these little things are sorted we expect to make 320+ kW at the rear wheels.
