Getting the Impala on the road

April 25, 2024

The Chevrolet Impala came to us with a list of things that needed to be done to get it roadworthy and ready for Cruising. There was a list of little things that needed doing; the inhibitor switch didn't work, the gear lever lock out pin was broken, engine mounts needed replacing etc... The biggest issues the Chev had was that the speedometer didn't work (which once removed was rebuilt) and that the dash lights weren't working. When Shane removed that dash he discovered that all the dash lights were replaced with high Voltage lights, these were removed and replaced with the correct 12V lights, which in turn lead to the discovery of an earth issue in the dash. Allot of back tracking and inspection of all the wires and connections in the dash and this was also repaired and the car registered and ready for cruising.
