CJ Chrysler rust repair and full respray

Like all Chrysler Valiants there was a little bit of rust in the Chrysler but all in all she wasn’t too bad.  Once we stripped the car down we found a little bit of rust in the rear of the sils and rear door doglegs.  Shane custom made the repair sections out of Galvanised steel and metal finished them.  These were then rust treated and then off for paint.

The Chrysler by Chrysler paint was kept to the original colour of “Amber Metallic” and this time the roof section was also painted, unlike from factory, in order to protect it when the new vinyl roof went on.
